AMINA HANDKE
Lives in Vienna and studied painting and media design at the University Of Applied Arts Vienna.
She is working as a visual artist using different materials and media (audio/video/photo; development of settings; installations and objects; stage design) and has realised a multitude of (group and single) exhibitions and projects since 1990, mostly as cooperations. An important part of her work is organising events and developing projects: for independent television and media, in the area of youth work and public space. Since 1988 she also works as rare/eclectic/easy listening-, oriental and electronica-DJ, which influences the work areas above mentioned. Her focus is on social interaction, identity structures (personal histories), and everyday communication.
